Why Do We Celebrate Independent Day?
15 th of August is the day which my country celebrates as its Independence Day, counting the years of independence from the day 15 th August 1947 it came out to be 72 . Yes 72 that ’ s the number. India is also well-known for upholding the concept of peace, as was demonstrated by its peaceful method of freedom struggle. Imagine the sacrifices that have been made by our freedom fighters to make India stand as a Independent country and count the number of soldiers fighting to guard our mother land day in day out at the borders, in the glaciers, in the deserts, forests and countless terrains. I take this opportunity to salute each and every soldier who has devoted his life in serving the nation and making sure that 132 crores people can sleep without fear and witness the growth which the nation has made after the liberalization of the Indian economy.
